Prayer

Prayer

In 2004, God began to call Adullam Christian Fellowship to prayer like never before in the history of this ministry. It started when Michael Kimuli, representing World Trumpet Mission located in Kampala, Uganda, on the continent of Africa, visited our area for a series of meetings in various churches. As a result, a prayer conference took place in our city November 2004. In the months leading up to the prayer conference, several churches in the New Orleans area met together monthly to pray. These churches were praying to see God move in the city of New Orleans and the surrounding parishes. The churches would meet with their own congregations weekly and then come together monthly. These meetings continued up until Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.

We at Adullam Christian Fellowship know that God answered our prayers although He didn’t answer the way we expected. We were praying for a move of God in New Orleans, and God heard us. Through the tragedy that took place because of Katrina, God has shown Himself mighty. He has raised up the Church of the Living God, the Body of Christ, from all over the nation to come to New Orleans and the surrounding parishes to reach out to those affected by Katrina.

We have learned not to pray for specific problems but to pray for God’s purpose to be fulfilled in our individual lives, our families, our congregations, our parish, our city, our state, and our nation. If we will pray for His purpose, He will change lives. When lives are changed, revival takes place. We are committed to praying for revival and are determined to see God move in this city. We believe that, as God pours out His Spirit on the New Orleans area, the fire of the Holy Spirit will begin to spread throughout our city, state, and then the whole nation. God has given us a window of opportunity to pray for revival in this land. The Church must rise up and seize the day while it is at hand or we will lose our opportunity to turn this nation around through prayer. We stand at a crossroad, a very crucial time, for the United States of America. Our society is spinning out of control. Right is called wrong, and wrong is declared right. Randywd.jpg Church has slipped into a slumber. Our politicians are trying to pass laws that are contrary to the Word of God. It almost seems irreversible. But God says in II Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

God bless you as we pray together to bring in the Last Days harvest.
